Difficult to understand why Charlie Kirk left us so young

When something as serious as the assassination of Charlie Kirk occurs, I look to God’s Word for understanding.

My first thought is that God is very much aware of what is happening in this world.

Matthew 10:29 says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.”

That speaks loudly about God’s involvement in our lives.

So what happens when someone who professes faith in God dies?

Matthew 10:32 says, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”

Charlie Kirk spoke often about the importance of a relationship with Jesus.

When asked recently how he wanted to be remembered, Kirk, surprised that someone would ask a man just 31 years old that question, answered:

“I want to be remembered for courage for my faith. That would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith.”

In 2nd Corinthians 5:8 it says, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

The scriptures also give us a glimpse into heaven in Acts chapter seven when Stephen was being stoned.

Verse 56 says, “Look, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

There are many scriptures about Jesus being “seated” at the right hand of God.

Seeing Jesus “standing” at the right hand of God tells us something special takes place in Heaven when a believer is martyred.

Charlie Kirk lived his life honoring Jesus as Lord and Savior.

On the Sunday following his death there are reports of people returning to church and others going to church for the first time.

Charlie Kirk’s memory was celebrated throughout this nation and in other nations throughout the world.

What was the scene like in Heaven on the day Charlie Kirk arrived?

Stephen saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

What is the reception in Heaven like for someone who is faithful and who professes a faith in Jesus?

Revelation 14:13 says, “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, ‘Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’

‘Blessed indeed,’ says the Spirit, ‘that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!’ ”

Erika Kirk’s inspiring and incredibly courageous speech just two days after her husband’s assassination was heard around the world.

“They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God’s merciful love,” Erika said.

“They should all know this. If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea.

“You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world. You have no idea.

“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

Erika Kirk has been named CEO of Turning Point USA.

The board of Turning Point USA said Erika Kirk’s election was unanimous.

Tens of thousands of requests for new Turning Point chapters have been received by the organization.

Turning Point USA promises to grow exponentially under the leadership of Erika Kirk.

Even so, it’s still hard to understand why someone so early in life had to be taken away.

Pray for Erika as she continues the work her husband started.
